Accommodation in Utrecht is rather expensive, in particular in September, thus we recommend to make a reservation as early as possible. Given this, the local hosts have selected a few hotels, taking mainly two criteria into account: hotels within walking distance (<2 km) of the conference venue, and some more inexpensive options, like hostels. Hotels that are on their way to become more eco-friendly are highlighted in green. You may also consider to look for hotels in one of the neighbouring cities. Amersfoort, Woerden, Zeist, and Utrecht-West, for example, can be reached in less than 15 minutes by bus or train.

Please note that on Wednesday, 9 September there will be a public transport strike for 24 hours! Not all details are yet officially announced but it must be expected that strike will encompass NS (Dutch National Railways), all city transportation, all regional buslines, DB Cargo, and Prorail (the manager of the rail infrastructure and operational rail traffic control). This means that also international rail traffic can be affected.
