Dear colleagues,

Many thanks to all of you for participating and for your numerous contributions to EMS2026! The hosts were delighted to welcome participants in Utrecht this year, providing you with many opportunities outside the session programme. 879 participants from 52 countries attended the meeting, 825 were onsite in Utrecht, and 54 contributed online. We hope you all enjoyed the meeting and came back with many fresh ideas, new connections and further collaboration.

• Should you need a participation confirmation, please login at https://meetingorganizer.copernicus.org/EMS2026/confirmation-of-participation/ and download the pdf-file. This will also contain confirmation of any of your roles at the conference such as convenorship.
• For photos of the meeting, recordings of the keynote lectures and plenary and special events, information about the poster award winner please see the Home page.
• Upload and updates of supporting material is still possible until 12 October 2026; after that date the supporting material may become available publicly, depending on the settings of the authors.
• Recorded presentation talks are publicly available – included are more than 350 videos for those authors who agreed to the publication at the time of uploading their presentation slides; access is free for everybody; videos can be found on the EMS vimeo channel. In addition, all videos will be displayed with the respective abstract directly on the conference website.
• Conference Proceedings - Submission of short conference papers for publication in the open-access journal Advances in Science and Research – The open-access proceedings of the European Meteorological Society (ASR) will be offered for those topics/sessions for which convenors agreed to act as guest editors (check out the sessions here). Authors of respective sessions will receive a separate email as soon as the submission is open.

You are welcome to give us feedback on your experience and/or provide suggestions for next year’s conference. In particular early career scientists are encouraged to let us know any ideas for ECS-specific events they think would be useful for young professionals in the frame of the Annual Meeting. We invite you to join us again next autumn in Kraków, Poland; conference dates are 5 – 10 September 2027, so mark this in your calendar now.
