A big Thank You to all for attending the hybrid EMS Annual Meeting 2026. Whether you participated in person in Utrecht or online, we hope your expectations were met and the conference was interesting and will result in many new collaborations and projects. The EMS2026 was attended by 881 participants from 52 countries: 827 onsite in Utrecht and 54 online from across the globe.

The EMS Annual Meeting 2027 will be held from 5 to 10 September 2027 at the Jagiellonian University, Kraków, Poland. We hope to see many of you there next year!

With a particular focus on advancing atmospheric science, water management, and societal preparedness, the 2026 Annual Meeting reflected the interests and activities of the host institutions and addressed the challenges posed by climate change to the broader European meteorological infrastructure, including the development of tools for early warnings and societal preparedness.
